Research Interests
In general, I'm interested in the neural algorithms that shape the complex cognitive processes of the human mind.  I think the mechanisms involved in memory storage and retrieval are a natural place to begin uncovering complex cognition.  I'm specifically interested in ways in which the hippocampus and parahippocampal areas interact with cortex to create memories that can be accessed in a flexible manner.  I intend to approach these issues using electrophysiological recording in behaving animals.
