Grad School Interviews - 2/01-4/01

By mid January 2001, I completed my applications to 5 neuroscience programs: Boston University, University of Arizona, University of Washington, Rutgers, and Mt. Sinai.  I was offered an interview at each and so the next couple of months were scattered with 2-4 day excursions to the different schools.  I tried to get a few shots that would capture some of the non-academic aspects of each place.  Since I lived in Boston, I didn't include shots from there.  See places for a fill of shots from Boston.
University of Arizona - Tucson, Arizona
University of Washington - Seattle, Washington
Rutgers University - Newark, New Jersey
Since Newark, New Jersey is 20 minutes from Manhattan, I spent my free time there.
Mt. Sinai - New York, New York
So which did I choose?
Well, if I'd chosen based on these pictures, I have chosen University of Washington for sure.  But, unfortunately there were many other factors involved in the decision.  In the end, surprisingly enough, I chose Rutgers.  It was mostly for scientific reasons, but Erica and I are pretty excited to live right near NYC.  I think both NYC and Newark will be fun places to take pictures.
